Security Training Academy offers Security Officer Core Subject Training, Arrest Authority, Handgun/Shotgun Training, Re-Training, Advance Handgun Training, Concealed Handgun Permit for VA & FL, American Red Cross Training (First-Aid, CPR, AED), Baton, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT) .  By recognizing that you are the most valuable resource, to an employer, we provide you a professional, safe and challenging training. All students take an exam prior to being registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, Private Security Section.  Armed officers, in addition to the above, are required to attend 14 hours of Firearms Training. Our continued growth is proof that we have a winning formula and provide training to meet your needs. This policy pertains to all training. No refunds will be made for cancellations within (5) five business days prior to the start date. No refunds will be made for “No Shows” (a “No Show” is a person who registers for a class but does not cancel registration or attend the program). If STA needs to cancel the class, STA will transfer your registration to another date, provided such class is scheduled and space is available. If STA determines that a student must be removed from the class for inappropriate or illegal conduct, NO refunds will be made. Cancellation notification may be made phone or by email and must be received (5) five days prior to the class date .
